In partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program (MSEP), LinkedIn announced today that beginning in July, they will be giving a FREE one year premium job-seeker subscription to military spouses during each PCS! This includes the final transition from military service as well.
In addition to a premium job-seeker subscription, military spouses who are eligible for LinkedIn’s Military and Veterans Program will also have access to:
- An online library of more than 12,000 LinkedIn Learning business, technical, and creative courses.
- LinkedIn’s new Learning Path for military spouses, which is designed to help spouses find remote, flexible and freelance job opportunities.
- A Military Spouse LinkedIn group which will showcase your mil-spouse status for recruiters looking to hire from our own community.
This is especially helpful given the massive portability issues military spouses face when transitioning throughout their military journey. The military spouse community faces a rate of under or un-employment that far surpasses the national average, which is a direct impact on the financial well-being and future earning potential of our military community at large. This program looks to close that gap, which is right up our ally as it aligns directly with NMSN’s mission and intent!
